Egyptian Ruins

Visit travel agencies and websites and notice that Egypt is always listed down as a “top destination.” Egypt, as we all know (thanks to our history teachers), is a country full of history and ancient ruins. This country, found between the borders of North Africa and the Middle East, is famous for its ancient civilization - Historians and archaeologists around the world have always asserted that its terrains cradled one of the oldest (if not the oldest) civilizations that the history of mankind has ever had.

No doubt, Egypt remains as a “star destination” in travels. It’s indeed nice to be able to walk and roam around the piece of land that witnessed the rise of power of ancient pharaohs and their beautiful wives. Being able to come face-to-face with some of the world’s most famous monuments, including the Giza pyramid complex and its Great Sphinx is also a dream-come-true for almost half of the world’s population.

Travelers go to Egypt to be able to get a glimpse of some of its many ancient ruins. The most famous destination for ruins sight-seeing, the southern city of Luxor, is the home to numerous ancient artifacts, such as the Karnak Temple and the Valley of the Kings. Other famous ruins include the The Great Sphinx and the Pyramids of Giza, built during the Old Kingdom. These two remain as modern national icons and are placed at the heart of Egypt’s thriving tourism industry.
